Amy Simmons founded Amy’s Ice Creams in 1984 by with a winning concept focused on employee education, exemplary service, and award-winning super-premium product. Amy’s currently has 13 stores in Austin, as well as a bakery, Baked By Amy’s, and single locations in Houston and San Antonio. The company has been profiled for its unique culture by such prestigious sources as: Inc. Magazine, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, “The View,” and “The Today Show.” In 2016, Amy’s Ice Creams launched Amy’s EDU, a full-service business and entrepreneur training program designed to ignite bright minds based on four fundamental components to a successful business: sustainable company culture, company-wide leadership amazing customer service, and open book management.
Amy Simmons earned a degree in Biology and Psychology from Tufts University in 1982. She also earned a Masters in Business Administration in 1992 from The University of Texas at Austin.
