Simple, one-call access to resources
For more than 25 years, United Way for Greater Austin’s Navigation Center has helped people navigate the complex system of health and human services in Central Texas. Anyone can contact the Navigation Center by dialing 2-1-1.
How the Navigation Center Works
We know that anyone can fall on hard times. That’s why we run our Navigation Center, where you can speak to a compassionate, certified specialist who will connect you to community resources.
Central Texans can dial 2-1-1 when they have a need
We provide streamlined access to information about more than 30,000 local, statewide, and national resources
The 2-1-1 phone line is free, confidential, multilingual, and available 24/7
Launched in 2020, ConnectATX includes a holistic assessment based on the social determinants of health and allows people to receive support online and via phone, text, email, and chat.
This “call for help” line is a one-call access point for:
- Basic needs
- Child care
- Government resources
- Disaster relief
The Navigation Center provides health and mental health support, information about public benefits, and enrollment support for healthcare coverage.
Call 2-1-1 today to access any of these services.
Community Needs & Trends
United Way creates an annual Community Needs & Trends report. The report illustrates the real demands for health and human services in our region and supports future planning for Texas legislators, city planners, and community stakeholders to meet the needs of the community.
You can also reach 2-1-1 by dialing (877) 541-7905.
The Navigation Center is made possible through a partnership with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
